Project Outline
The Pinheiro cobalt project boasts impressive open pit grades of 2% copper and 0.23% cobalt. The project is estimated to have 36.3 million tonnes (Mt) of proven and probable reserves, with a cobalt grade of 619 parts per million (ppm). The sulphide mineralization can be found at the surface and extends from approximately 25 meters deep. Furthermore, the mineralization is not only open along strike but at depth as well. The project's logistics are also favorable as plans have been made for the construction of essential facilities such as a tailing storage facility with a total capacity of 4.2Mtpa, electrical high-voltage yards, water storage dams, weighbridge, and rail siding to support the processing plant.
